Our Debut Show

We’re excited to announce our debut performance on Sunday August 25th, 7pm at Honest Pint in Chattanooga, TN.

About the band:

During a recent and long overdue meeting of the minds, Chattanooga songwriters Emily Kate Boyd and Chris LeCroy gathered for a jam session with fellow local musicians and came to the conclusion that it would be a disservice to the world of music to not join forces in one concerted effort. Chris, having been playing with his past project Two Bits a Gander, sourced his backbone-of-the-band bass player, Charles Gaston, and fiddlin’ front lady, Lori Quillen, to join the mix, while Emily Kate summoned the talents of banjo and mandolin player Eric Tittsworth to form the collective now known as Home Made Machine.

Touting original tunes such as Dust & Delirium, an epic tale of adventure and surrender, and Town By a River, a ballad tribute to their riverside stomping grounds of Chattanooga Tennessee, Home Made Machine is an original musical endeavor likened to that of Shovels & Rope, The Avett Brothers and Wilco.

Drawing influence from traditional blues, folk, rock, bluegrass, and gypsy jazz, Home Made Machine is an Americana cocktail sure to tickle the taste buds of any fine music aficionado. The locking harmonies of Boyd, LeCroy, and Quillen are reminiscent of gospel choirs and blues singers of old. Gaston’s electric rock based roots transfer superbly to the upright, while Eric’s instrumental dexterity fills in all the voids with thrills and trills.

It comes served up with a heavy dose of soul, grit, truth and a side of “why thank you mam, but I think I’ll take the road less traveled.” It is a Home Made Machine.

Home Made Machine is:
Emily Kate Boyd – vocals, guitar, banjo
Chris LeCroy – vocals, guitar, banjo, mandolin
Lori Quillen – fiddle, vocals, banjo
Eric Tittsworth – mandolin, banjo, vocals
Charles Gaston – upright bass
